His and Hers, Let's Get Hopping Round #6

It's all about romance this month with Valentines just around the corner.  What says 'couple in love' more than a 'his and hers' set?  Today the Let's Get Hopping team are having a bit of fun with this theme and featuring two cards, both using the same layout - one for him and one for her!

I hear it time and time again from fellow cardmakers, male cards are tricky to design.  But I have a design tip for you to try.  Make a card in your favourite style, then CASE it with a more masculine twist.

I am just smitten with how this feminine design, featuring the Butterfly Basics stamp set, turned out.

For the masculine version I chose one of my favourite birthday stamp sets, Confetti Celebration.  I kept the sketch and the colours mostly the same, just making little adjustments to better suit the different genders.

Follow the link below to see what 'his and hers' inspiration my 10 hopping friends have to share with you!   Next up is my team leader Teresa!
