About

Hi there!  Thank you for stopping by to learn more about me.

I joined Stampin' Up! in May 2011. I was brand new to the hobby of paper crafting and had no idea what adventures it would lead me to!

Over the last decade, I've been thrilled to share techniques, ideas and products with people in classes both in-person and online.

I've enjoyed blogging and sharing my creations on social media and in national publications. I even had the honour of receiving the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team award twice, earning a place in the 2015-2016 and 2018 teams.

A bit more about me:
I live in Bendigo, Victoria with my very handy Carpenter hubby and our two beautiful, complex children.

Q&A:
Do you create one thing at a time or have several projects on the go at once?
I am a messy artist so I do like to get one project done before starting another – otherwise my desk becomes so cluttered with tools, materials and equipment it becomes almost impossible to be productive.

What inspires you?
I find cardmaking easiest when I have a specific request, recipient and/or event in mind and a good sketch to draw it all together.

Do you ever lose your Mojo? How do you get it back?
When the kids don't sleep well, or if I feel overwhelmed with a large to-do list, my creativity suffers!  To get it flowing again I like to browse my collection of magazines, or websites like Pinterest or Instagram, for layouts and/or techniques that I might be able to CASE with products from my stash.

What’s your favourite colour combination?
I have a romantic, soft style.  I love neutral colours, particularly Stampin' Up!'s Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand, with a pop of colour.  Natural green tones are a fav!

Do you create quickly or agonise over each decision?
Before putting a project together I stamp and cut everything and lay all the elements of the design out in front of me.  If something doesn't feel right I set the project aside overnight and look over it again the next day before sticking it all together – agonising over little adjustments until I am happy.

Is there a particular theme or product that you find difficult to make?
I find papers with lots of bright colours and busy patterns difficult to use.
